Thesis
as The Final Task for University Student
Thesis is a dissertation advancing an original point
of view as a result of research, especially as a requirement for an academic
degree. Every university student should make a thesis. Before they make the
thesis, they must pass all the courses.
The State
Islamis Institute of Surakarta (IAIN) will held the graduation (XXX) on April
11, 2015. In this recent months, a lot of the university students from the last
semester in The State Islamic Institute of Surakarta (IAIN) go to the library.
They utilize their free time in the library to look for the references because
they have the duty to write the thesis.
Adjit Panji Surya, one of the university students
from English Letters the 9th semester, has registered his thesis
since he was in the 8th semester. He said, “ I have the target
before 2014 is end, I must finish my thesis”. So, he utilizes his free time to
read and look for the references that are related to his thesis in the library
in order he can graduate in the next year.
The laziness is one of the problems that experienced
by the university students in doing the thesis. Many of the university students
who are writing the thesis considers that thesis is a difficult task. Making
the thesis also takes a great deal of time and effort. It causes some of them do
not have the motivation and delay the preparation of the thesis.
Adjit said, “Sometimes
I feel spirit and sometimes I feel so lazy, but when I remembered that I have
deadline to finish my thesis I feel more spirit”. “I force myself to fight the
laziness so I can finish my thesis as soon as possible,” he continued. The help
and the support from the lecturer, friends and parent are also very important.
It can give the motivation for the university students in doing the thesis.
However, although they assume thesis is a difficult
task they have to write the thesis in order they can graduate from their
university. Because thesis is one of the graduation requirement.
